The Pack Family Post – Spring 2026 Wrap up

News you can use. Pride you can share.

That’s a wrap, Wolfpack!

Dear Wolfpack Family,

It’s hard to believe, but another academic year is quickly winding down. Although bittersweet, it is an exciting time to be on our campus. From students taking graduation photos across campus to Commencement ceremonies and our annual De-Stress Fest, the end of the spring semester isn’t only about projects and final exams.

At NC State, we recognize the achievement and milestone your student has reached, and we make every effort to continue supporting them and you, whether you are returning in the fall or launching your student into life after graduation. These are a few reasons we remain dedicated to keeping you informed and connected via this quarterly newsletter.

Below you will find helpful information about the move-out process from University Housing and Transportation, links to Summer Sessions for students taking courses, important reminders from NC State Dining, the Alumni Association and more. First, we encourage you to take a moment to watch a special video message from Chancellor Howell, shared with your students on LDOC (last day of classes)

Last but certainly not least, I want to extend my sincerest gratitude to each and every one of you. Our students thrive because of the love and support they receive from champions like yourself. Whether your student is first-generation or legacy, a transfer student, a veteran, a first-year or a senior, a graduate student or is non-degree seeking, your connection matters and we are grateful to be partners with you in their journey

Have a wonderful summer, and if your student is graduating, congratulations! We hope you come back and visit soon.

GO PACK!

Sincerely,

Kerri Fowler
Executive Director, Parents and Families Services

Campus Partner Updates

Keeping parents and families well-informed is a priority, and our campus partners are here to help. Please take a moment to review the information below to stay up-to-date on deadlines, events and opportunities available to your student.

UNIVERSITY HOUSING

As we gear up for the fall 2026 semester, please help your student stay on top of these key University Housing dates.

May 15: Living and Learning Village applications are due!
June 1: Deadline to submit any roommate requests or to make any changes to their housing application.
Early July: Housing assignments will be shared, along with sign-up for move-in appointments!
August 14-16: fall Move-in

As the dates and deadlines approach, students will be sent emails with step-by-step instructions. Please remind your student to check their university email regularly for official updates! If you have any questions, please contact University Housing at housing@ncsu.edu.

We can’t wait to welcome your student to campus!

TRANSPORTATION

Students needing parking for fall 2026 will not be able to purchase parking until July 2026. Please see our Student Permit webpage for information on Fall 2026 permit sales and parking.

This is a friendly reminder that bike and scooter storage on campus will be unavailable this summer. To help us prepare for the fall semester, NC State Transportation will be clearing the bike racks.

Here’s what students need to do:

  • If your student is not staying on campus, please encourage them to take their bike or scooter home with them before the end of the semester.
  • Consider donating their bike by placing it in a Pack Rat container.
  • Starting May 13, devices remaining on bike racks will be tagged.
  • Is your student staying on campus this summer? If their bike or scooter is tagged, please remove it to indicate that it should remain on campus.
  • Important deadline: Any tagged devices still on campus after May 26 will be impounded.

Thanks so much for your cooperation in keeping our campus organized. We appreciate your understanding!

A piece of the NC State Experience:
Wolfline Tees are here!

Is your student graduating?

Congratulations! Graduation marks the start of a student’s journey from being an NC State student to an NC State alum. There are many tasks to complete, and we want to help them stay on track for the celebration ahead. Take time to share the following link with your student to ensure they complete all tasks prior to graduation.

Alumni Association

Get your exclusive NC State tea towel! We asked the Wolfpack to vote on their favorite student design to feature on a limited-edition NC State tea towel. Now you can claim yours! Make a gift by May 8 and secure your tea-tactic gift today.

From an NC State Student to an NC State Alumnus

There are countless ways students can stay connected with the Pack. From alumni cords to exploring the world, be sure to share the alumni checklist with your student. Celebrate your achievement with your alumni cords and explore the world through WolfTreks travel. This is just the beginning. One Pack, endless opportunities.

Visit the Alumni website to learn more.

Regalia Recycling

We’re excited to introduce ‘Turn Your Tassel Forward,‘ a new initiative to support NC State graduates. Each year, students don their regalia once, then store it away. The reality is that for many, purchasing regalia can be expensive. ‘Turn Your Tassel Forward‘ is a pay-it-forward option that allows graduates to donate their used regalia, making it a lasting act of generosity.

As we launch this program, our initial step will be to collect donated regalia items during the spring semester. Our objective is to extend this initiative to NC State students graduating in December.

NC State Dining

As the semester wraps up, now is a good time for your student to check their Dining Dollar balance and plan ahead to use any remaining funds before they expire on May 8, 2026.

Dining Dollars can be used across campus for everything from quick coffee runs to full meals, making it easy to spend them down in a way that fits their schedule. If you’ll be here for move-out, it’s also a great opportunity for your student to treat you to a meal or snack on campus using their remaining balance.

Students can view their balance, track spending and monitor meal plan usage anytime through the Wolfpack One Card Portal.

WELLNESS

Headspace App

NC State partners with Headspace to provide FREE premium memberships to students on a first-come, first-served basis. Being in tune with our minds and bodies helps us think clearly, strive for better health, sleep soundly and manage stress effectively.

Take time to talk to your student about their mental health and see if this app is one they already use or might find helpful in the future!

De-Stress Fest

Students are invited to celebrate and recharge at De-Stress Fest, taking place Tuesday, April 28 – Wednesday, May 6.

Share the schedule of events with your students and encourage them to take a much-needed break and celebrate their accomplishments!

Stay Connected

To ensure you continue to receive communications from Parents and Families Services, including but not limited to essential university messages, e-newsletters, special events and the monthly conversation calendar, please set up your Brickyard account. Your student initiated this process in their MyPack Portal account. Students can replicate this process for multiple parents or family members. Each individual account must be completed with a preferred email address AND the “opt-in” button for communications checked.
