Turn Your Tassel Forward
You've walked across the stage. Now help the next student do the same.
We’re excited to introduce Turn Your Tassel Forward, the latest initiative to support NC State students.
Each year, countless NC State graduates don their regalia for just one day, then store them away for good. For many students, the burden of buying their own can be financially burdensome. Turn Your Tassel Forward addresses this issue by transforming a single day’s use into a legacy of generosity.
The program is free to participate in, requires no advance sign-up and keeps regalia out of landfills; a small act with a lasting impact on future Wolfpack graduates and the environment alike.
How to Participate
Once you’ve walked across the stage, clearly marked collection bins will be set up strategically around the stadium and on campus. Simply drop your regalia in a return bin before you leave, and our volunteers will take it from there.
Items Being Collected
Graduation regalia representing all programs, undergraduate and graduate, from 2024 to the present academic year will be accepted. These items include, but are not limited to, the following items.
Please note that caps will not be collected for sanitary purposes.
- Bachelor’s Gown

- Master’s Gown
- Master’s Hood
