At NC State, it is our goal to keep Wolfpack Families informed and connected. Below are the many ways we work to communicate with NC State's parents and families.
All communications from Parents and Families Services are optional. Parents and families are required to have a Brickyard account complete with their preferred email address and the opt-in box selected. Additionally, we do not communicate with any individual who has not been granted permission by their student. If you have questions or concerns about receiving our communications, please call the Parents' Helpline at

Conversation Calendar
Updated annually with input from current NC State students, our monthly conversation starters help families navigate conversations with their students each month throughout the academic year.

E-Newsletters
Distributed to Wolfpack Families five times a year, this comprehensive newsletter shares helpful reminders, upcoming dates and deadlines, university news and special events with parents and families.

Family Handbook and Calendar
One of our most popular resources, the printed Family Handbook and Calendar publication is printed annually and distributed to all incoming families at New Student and Family Orientation. Limited copies are available by request for returning families. A digital file is also available at the link below.

Pack Talk Blog
The Pack Talk family blog is written by students for parents and families to give insight into daily life, trending topics, popular programs and helpful resources that benefit NC State students. Published regularly throughout the year we invite you to follow us and get connect via the link below.

Regional Roundup
This semesterly communication is sent to all families who have opted-in to the Pack Family Regions program. It will highlight special activities, announcements and reminders for the many regions and highlight opportunities to connect with parents and families nearby.

Connect with Parents and Families Services on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. All social pages have a single social handle @NCStatePFS and are open pages to like and follow for updates and information.
A special note about Facebook groups.
We recognize that there are a wide variety of parent/family Facebook group pages on this platform. However, please note that only @NCStatePFS is managed by our team and is considered to be the single official Facebook page for Wolfpack Families. All other groups are a great way to build community and connect with other families but these pages are not moderated or managed by NC State employees and information shared is not published by the Office of Parents and Families Services.
University News and Important Messages
In collaboration with University Communication and other campus partners, NC State’s Parents and Families Services may communicate university news, updates and important messages to Wolfpack Families. Be sure to opt-in to these messages via the Brickyard (as mentioned above) to receive these announcements.
