Whether you are traveling to campus for an event or simply coming to visit your student, the following information might be useful in planning your visit.

General Event Accessibility Requests

For special accommodations and disability requests for events and activities hosted by Parents and Families Services please contact our office by emailing ncstateparents@ncsu.edu or calling 919.515.2441.

Accessibility Requests for Athletic Events

Gameday accommodations are processed through the NC State Athletics Ticket office. To make an accessibility request or for additional information, including parking and seating accommodations, please click here or contact the Ticket Office at 919.865.1510 for more information.

Dining and Lodging

Whether you’re in need of overnight accommodations or are looking for a restaurant to take your student to, there are plenty of options to choose from. Parking

General Parking
Oftentimes, parents and families have questions about where to park when they are visiting campus. For information on parking during campus visits not associated with one of our events please see Visitor Parking.

Game Day Parking
Details and directions for game day parking vary by venue and event. For more information, please visit gopack.com

If you plan to arrive on campus early and then head to the game, we recommend you leave your vehicle and ride the Red Terror, NC State’s gameday transit. Loop service begins 2 hours before kickoff from Witherspoon Student Center and runs for 90 minutes after the game. To learn more about the Red Terror, click here.

Complimentary parking will be available campus-wide in non-restricted spaces on Saturday, February 3 and Sunday, February 4. Ticketing is enforced on Friday. If you are planning to arrive on campus on Friday, please follow the instructions below to claim your virtual parking permit.

Rates for a virtual Parking Permit for Friday, February. 2.
Full-day parking permit $10.00 (Purchase this if you plan to arrive before 12:00 p.m. EST)
Half-day parking permit $5.00 (Begins at 12:00 p.m. EST)

All pre-purchased parking permits are NON-REFUNDABLE. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

Note: The following virtual parking permit is for on-campus only and is not stadium parking for the basketball game.

Half-Day Permit Instructions for Friday, Feb. 2

How To Obtain Your VIRTUAL Event Permit

  1. Visit Go.ncsu.edu/EventParking
  2. Ensure you are logged out of your parking account. 
  3. Select “Purchase Event Permit” 
  4. Agree to the Terms of Service
  5. Select “General Event”
  6. Select Spring Fling Half Day
  7. When prompted, enter springfling24 as the Event Voucher Code. The code is case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as shown. Select Confirm.
  8. Select an available Permit Type
  9. Select/Confirm your parking dates. Select Confirm.
  10. Select Location
  11. Select “Add Vehicle”. Enter vehicle license plate, state, year, make, and model. Review the information entered for accuracy and select Add.
  12. Enter the client’s name and phone number. Select Confirm.
  13. Select Continue.
  14. Enter your email address to receive confirmation of the parking permit.
  15. Review information. Select Checkout.

Remember, the permit is virtual, your license plate is your permit. The permit is valid only for the vehicle entered. The permit is not valid in pay-by-plate locations.  

Are you driving a rental car? If so, please wait to obtain your parking permit until after you have received your rental car. Vehicle license plates cannot be changed once entered. You must obtain your parking permit before leaving your vehicle unattended on campus.
