Parents and Families Weekend 2024

General Event Information

Parents and Families Weekend is a special event that happens every fall at NC State University. During this weekend, parents, families, siblings, and all those who support NC State students are invited to visit the campus and participate in various activities and events. It’s a great opportunity for families to spend quality time with their student and create lasting memories.

Advanced registration to be on campus for Parents and Families Weekend is not required. However, sponsored events and activities are limited, requiring advanced ticket purchase or a pre-registration/sign-up for planning purposes.

Tickets for Parents and Families Weekend go on sale Monday, Aug. 19.

All signature (non-athletic) events are sold a la carte. Each event differs in price and capacity due to space restrictions. For this reason, many of our events will reach capacity limits; and some faster than others.

Take time to review the 2024 schedule with your student and family in advance and plan accordingly before the registration launch on Aug. 19.

No, unfortunately, we are unable to process registrations via phone. All registrations for Parents and Families Weekend are processed online only.

All Parents and Families Weekend tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Football Tickets and Game Day

Purchasing your ticket in advance of, or separately from our registration, is completely up to you. Tickets for Parents and Families Weekend will sell out however, Parents and Families Services works closely with Athletics to reserve a significant allotment of tickets for Wolfpack Families.

Unfortunately, due to capacity limits, we are unable to accommodate all Wolfpack families at Carter-Finley Stadium and cannot guarantee ticket availability. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Game tickets are available for purchase with the benefit of selecting your student’s seat with yours. Simply follow the instructions for purchasing game tickets only.

Parents and Families Services works closely with Athletics to reserve a select allotment of tickets for Parents and Families Weekend. Through the unique event ticket website, families can reserve their NC State student’s complimentary ticket with their reservation so that your family can be seated together on game day.

Football tickets are sent electronically to the registrant’s email from the NC State Athletics Ticket Office.

Be sure you provide an up-to-date mailing address when you register for Parents and Families Weekend.

All NC State-controlled lots will open five hours before kick-off.

Yes! NC State’s Red Terror is a great option for game day. This loop bus service starts 3 hrs before kickoff, leaving from a single location on campus, and runs until 90 after the game. To learn more, visit Red Terror Bus Service.

Game day parking is available in lots surrounding Carter-Finley Stadium. Most lots are cash only and vary in price. Game day traffic is very heavy.

Plan accordingly and remember that if you arrive early there is plenty to do and see on game day.

Carter-Finley Stadium offers a wide variety of fun activities on game day. Be sure to set aside some time before kick-off to visit the Wolfpack Fan Zone. Located on the front lawn between the PNC Arena and Carter-Finley Stadium, the Fan Zone activities offer something for every age group.
