Meet Kathy Guarano

Kathy Guarano is from Commerce Twp, Michigan, and has a student in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

What is your favorite NC State tradition and/or memory? Being a freshman family, traditions are still in creation mode. A favorite memory was discovering there is no egg (student allergy) in Howling Cow ice cream! I suspect consuming Howling Cow is destined to become a favorite tradition. So yummy!

What single NC State resource has your student benefitted from the most? Free bus transportation & Free Moms allergy-friendly treats

One piece of advice for new Pack Parents? Understand the housing options available post-freshman year! I was surprised to discover on-campus housing is not guaranteed & can be difficult to secure.
