Cheer Kits

Warming the hearts of students over Winter Break!

As the fall semester ends and winter break approaches, many students plan to return home to spend time with their families and unwind after a busy semester. However, we understand that this can be a challenging time for students who cannot return home and will be staying in residence halls during the break. One effective way to support these students is by providing them with care packages.

To support these students, we have created an excellent opportunity for Family Ambassadors and Pack Parents to assemble unique care packages, known as “Cheer Kits,” which will be delivered to them during this time.

How it Works There are two ways to participate: donate requested items to the Cheer Kit, help us assemble these packages, or both! 

Online donations may be purchased via this Amazon Wish List and sent directly to our offices at the address below. *Items may also be mailed to this address at the attention of NC State Parents and Families Services. Please have items delivered NO LATER THAN 11/21.

In-person donations may be dropped off Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the Main Lobby of our offices at the address below.

There is no need to sign up if you plan to drop off donations. If you would like assistance with unloading donations, please let us know in advance that you are coming. We are happy to help with your items.

Cheer Kit Assembly will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the E. Carroll Joyner Visitor Center from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. At this time, all volunteer spots are filled. If you would like to join the waitlist, please email us at ncstateparents@ncsu.edu.
