Summer Send-Off Events

• Who should attend? Incoming first-year and new transfer students and their families. This is an excellent opportunity for students to connect with their classmates and for families to start building their network with Pack families from their area.
• Are Summer Send-Off Events required for freshmen? Attending a Summer Send-Off event is not mandatory. For many families, it is a chance to connect with other NC State students and families in their community and learn more about campus life before the start of the academic year.
• What is the dress code? Summer Send-Offs are fun and informal celebrations. Wolfpack gear is recommended but not required.
• Where are these events held? Event locations are at the host’s discretion, ranging from restaurants and breweries to area parks and even in-home.
• What is the cost of attending these events? These events are typically held at local restaurants, and each family is responsible for their expenses. 
• What is the format? These events are informational gatherings.
