How to obtain your VIRTUAL on-campus Parking Permit

Parents and Families Weekend 2023

Parking enforcement will be lifted in non-restricted spaces for Parents and Families Weekend at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29. If you plan to arrive prior to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, please follow the instructions below to claim your parking permit. Parking permits and complimentary parking are only valid in non-restricted spaces. Please follow parking signage accordingly.

Rates for a virtual Parking Permit for Friday, Sept. 29.
Full-day parking permit $10.00 (Purchase this if you plan to arrive before 12:00 p.m. EST)
Half-day parking permit $5.00 (Begins at 12:00 p.m. EST)

Complimentary parking will be available campus-wide in non-restricted spaces on Saturday, Sept. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 1.

All pre-purchased parking permits are NON-REFUNDABLE. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

Note: The following virtual parking permit is for on-campus only and is not stadium parking for the Sept. 29 football game at Carter-Finley.

If you plan to arrive on campus early and then head to the game, we recommend you leave your vehicle and ride the Red Terror. NC State’s gameday transit. Loop service begins at 4:00 p.m. from Witherspoon Student Center and runs for 90 minutes after the game. To learn more about the Red Terror, click here.

Obtain your VIRTUAL parking permit today!

  1. Visit Go.ncsu.edu/EventParking
  2. Ensure you are logged out of your parking account. 
  3. Select “Purchase Event Permit” 
  4. Agree to the Terms of Service
  5. Select “General Event” 
  6. Select Parents and Families Weekend Full Day Permit OR Parents and Families Weekend Half Day Permit
  7. When prompted, enter PFW2023 as the Event Voucher Code. The code is case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as shown. Select Apply Voucher.
  8. Select an available Permit Type (this will populate above the voucher code field). 
  9. Select/Confirm your parking dates. Select Confirm.
  10. Select the Location
  11. Select “Add Vehicle”. Enter vehicle license plate, state, year, make, and model. Review the information entered for accuracy and select Add.
  12. Enter your name and phone number. Select Confirm.
  13. Select Continue.
  14. Enter email address and Billing information
  15. Review information. Select Checkout.

Remember, the permit is virtual, your license plate is your permit. A permit is valid only for the vehicle entered. A permit is not valid in pay-by-plate locations. Do not back-in or pull-through to park without a front plate. The license plate must face the traffic lane.

Virtual event permits are non-refundable.

Are you driving a rental car? If so, please wait to obtain your parking permit until after you have received your rental car. Vehicle license plates cannot be changed once entered. You must obtain your parking permit before leaving your vehicle unattended on campus.
