Service Opportunities
Get involved during Parents and Families Weekend!
Greetings, Wolfpack Families!
One of the most important aspects of being successful in college is being productive–not just academically, but socially too! With NC State’s Service Opportunities, students have the chance to give back to local communities, keep nearby areas clean and safe and improve the livelihood of those around them. Some of these incredible opportunities are also a part of our upcoming Parents and Families Weekend event; and this is your invitation to take part in these meaningful opportunities alongside your student(s).
Join us for volunteer opportunities with Feed the Pack food pantry on Friday, Oct. 2, from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. for a wonderful chance for students, parents and families to support the Pack Essentials team by helping organize, clean and maintain the food pantry.
Each volunteer shift will receive a free behind-the-scenes tour of the facility and learn more about Pack Essentials’ mission and history at NC State!
To secure your spot, please register using the following links:
* Friday, Oct 2 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

For outdoor enthusiasts, we invite you to join us on Sunday, October 4 at 9 a.m., for our annual Pack Plants campus clean up effort, alongside University Housing, Grounds Management and the Student Alumni Association. In this hands-on project, volunteers will participate in planting flowers, spreading mulch and beautifying outdoor spaces to keep our campus a warm, welcoming place for all. It will take place outside the Tri-Towers (Bowen, Carroll and Metcalf Hall) located on Central Campus. Registration is free and required, and can be found on our website.
Last but certainly not least, donations to the food pantry and clothing closet will be accepted from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, on the 3rd floor of Talley Student Union and at the Pack Family Tailgate pre-game event on Saturday for registered ticket holders. For more information about donations, visit the following lists:
