Wolfpack Families, get excited for NC State’s upcoming Red and White Week, the University’s annual homecoming celebration! From October 26 – November 2, NC State welcomes its vast community of alumni, faculty, families and friends for a weeklong celebration of the place we call home. Throughout Red and White Week, numerous events remind us to treasure our connections to the Pack, with opportunities for everyone. Whether you are an NC State alum, a current student, or a member of the Wolfpack Family, there are so many ways to explore what being a fan of the Red and White means to you. To check out more about the Red and White, visit the Beginner’s Guide to Red and White Week for more information.

Encouraging your student to make the most of Red and White Week is a great way for them to engage with the university and take pride in their accomplishments as members of the Pack. The party begins on Monday at 10 a.m. with the student Kickoff Event, with plenty of free games, prizes, giveaways and the official Red and White Week T-Shirt! Throughout the week, students who wear red can stop by Stafford Commons between 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. to pick up free food, nothing more to it! The party continues on Tuesday with the Wellness Fest, which encourages students to celebrate not only NC State, but celebrate themselves. Students can learn about the Wellness Resources offered by the university while playing carnival games, painting pumpkins, enjoying free food and spending time with therapy dogs. For information on the rest of the week, check out the Full Schedule of Events for the many opportunities for students and their families.

The finale of Red and White Week is a home football game against Georgia Tech, hopefully resulting in a successful finish to a great week of spirit and camaraderie!  Join thousands of members of the Wolfpack Family to cheer on our NC State football team as we try to light the Belltower red! We hope students and families alike come to celebrate Red and White Week on campus with us, all learning and embracing what it means to wear the red and white. Encouraging your student to take part in the many activities of the week is a positive way to take pride in all of their hard work throughout the semester, focusing on elements of the university outside of just studies. College is more than just test-taking and textbook reading, and Red and White week reminds us that we should embrace what makes us a community and celebrate what we should be proud of.
