Regional Summer Send-Off Celebrations

Many families of incoming students are starting to think ahead to the fall semester. Whether it’s your first college Summer Send-Off celebration or you’re already familiar with the process, the transition to college for many families can come with a mix of excitement, pride, and a few nerves. That’s where the Pack Family Regions Summer Send-Off celebrations come in! These informal events are designed to bring together incoming students and their families from the same geographic areas to help everyone feel a little more connected before the school year starts. 

Summer Send-Off celebrations are hosted by Parents and Families Services in collaboration with Pack Family Regional chairs in several cities across North Carolina, as well as a couple of out-of-state regions. These welcome and celebratory events are especially helpful for easing any anxiety incoming students might have about starting college, a chance to ask last-minute questions, to connect with their classmates who will be walking the same path this fall and for families to build their network. These events are fun with plenty of Pack pride.

No matter where you’re coming from, Send-Offs are a powerful reminder that NC State isn’t just a university, it’s a community. Starting college can feel overwhelming, but it becomes a little easier when students realize they’re not doing it alone.
