Hello Pack Parents and Families! 

My name is Kaitlyn Rice, and I am a sophomore in NC State’s College of Education. I am majoring in Middle Grade Language Arts and Social Studies Education and also plan to minor in both history and psychology. I am excited about being part of the Pack Family Ally Program for the 2026-2027 school year!

I am from Waxhaw, North Carolina and have loved getting to know Raleigh. As a legacy student, I love showing my Pack pride by going to NC State events like Packapalooza and football games! I am also part of some of NC State’s many clubs/activities, such as College Mentors for Kids, which pairs college students with kids. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, drinking coffee, doing puzzles, drawing and walking outside in nature. I also love animals and have two dogs at home named Bailey and Sadie! 

My advice to incoming NC State students is to put yourself out there and have fun! College is a new experience for everyone, and you want to make the most of it! I look forward to supporting all NC State Families at Parents and Families Services. Go Pack!
