Wolfstock: The Biggest Event of the Year!

The biggest event at the end of the spring semester is coming THIS Saturday, April 20th, 2024! Wolfstock, is the most anticipated event that everybody gets excited about. However, if you’re the parent of a freshman or a transfer student, you might be thinking, what is Wolfstock?

Wolfstock is an annual event hosted by the University Activity Board (UAB). The event is always on the last Saturday before the Last Day of Classes (LDOC) and is split into two parts: the festivities portion and the concert portion. This year both parts of Wolfstock will be at Miller Field. The festivities portion will be from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and include a variety of fun activities like Inflatables and “Make and Take” activities and free food. Students will have free access to the festival portion and receive a meal ticket to one of the Food Trucks with their student ID. At 4:00 p.m., Miller Field will be cleared out to set up for the concert portion of Wolfstock.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and music starts at 7:00 p.m., the concert portion of Wolfstock goes until 10 p.m. but students can leave and enter whenever they please! Every year, UAB does a reveal for their artist in the Talley Student Union, they released the artist earlier last week, and the main performer for this year’s concert is ‘Social House’! Opening for them will be ‘The Layaways’ and ‘The Greeting Committee’! If your student would like to bring a bag to the concert it must be small or see-through.

During my first spring semester, I didn’t know anything about Wolfstock, but the anticipation for the artist was so exciting and the reveal gave campus so much energy! Wolfstock is unique to the NC State campus, it’s common for students from other schools in the area to attend. Wolfstock is probably my favorite event of the school year and if your student does not know about it yet, I’d suggest you encourage your student to attend! I have so many great memories from when I went to Wolfstock, I hope your student goes and has a great time too!

GO PACK!
