Introduction: New Parent Ally

Hello NC State Families! My name is Aislinn Murray, I am a sophomore here at State, and I am currently majoring in Biochemistry with a pre-med focus and an interest in a Military Science Minor. I am a new Parent Ally for Parents and Families Services for the 2023-2024 academic school year. Although I was born in Rhode Island, I have lived on the coast in New Bern, North Carolina for the majority of my life. During the school year, I dedicate my time to studying, volunteering and exercising; in the summer I can be found on the pool deck lifeguarding with my coworkers at my local YMCA.

To break away from the stress of academics I like to bake, sew and embroider! I am a huge sports fan and will cheer for all of our college athletic teams, but I have a preference for football and hockey. My favorite NHL (National Hockey League) team is the Carolina Hurricanes (Go Canes!) and I can only hope they do well this year in the playoffs. Speaking of sports, in high school, I ran the 100m and 300m hurdles for track and field; I still run today but only in preparation for the Spring’s Krispy Kreme Challenge. I ran the race last school year and hope to continue this North Carolina State University tradition for years to come.

I am so excited to be a part of the team supporting our Wolfpack families and cannot wait to see what the rest of my journey here will bring!

GO PACK!”
