The Pack Family Post – Late Spring 2026 Edition

News you can use. Pride you can share.

A welcome message for families during PFW

Happy Spring, Wolfpack!

Dear Wolfpack Family,

We are so glad you are here! Spring at NC State is stunning. As a non-native to North Carolina, even after 14 years, I still find myself awe-struck by the beauty of spring in Raleigh. Similar to our students, no two spring seasons are the same, but they are bountiful, inspiring…and busy!

From Spring Fling to Spring Break, Wellness Day to Day of Giving, our calendars have been full of PACK pride and progress. We hope you have had time to connect with your student recently about the many happenings on campus and to check in about how they are doing. Sometimes starting this conversation can be hard. Visit our Conversation Calendar for timely talking points and tips about student life. With the end of the academic year fast approaching, it is important to help your student finish strong in both personal wellness and academic performance. Encourage your student to take time to enjoy spring amid the stress of the semesterly wrap up.

As always, we are here for you. If there is anything we can do to support you and your student, please reach out to us via our Helpline phone 919.515.2441 or email [email protected].

GO PACK!

Sincerely,
Kerri Fowler
Executive Director, Parents and Families Services

Is your student graduating?

Congratulations! Graduation marks the start of a student’s journey from being an NC State student to an NC State alum. There are many tasks to complete and we want to help them stay on track for the celebration ahead. Take time to share the following link with your student to ensure they complete all tasks prior to graduation.

From an NC State Student to an NC State Alumnus

There are countless ways students can stay connected with the Pack. From alumni cords to exploring the world, be sure to share the alumni checklist with your student. Celebrate your achievement with your alumni cords and explore the world through WolfTreks travel. This is just the beginning. One Pack, endless opportunities.

Visit the Alumni website to learn more.

Regalia Recycling

We’re excited to introduce ‘Turn Your Tassel Forward,‘ a new initiative to support NC State graduates. Each year, students don their regalia once and then keep it stored away. The reality, is that for many purchasing regalia can be expensive. Turn Your Tassel Forward is a pay-it-forward option, allowing graduates to donate their used regalia, making it a lasting act of generosity.

As we launch this program, our initial step will involve the collection of donated regalia items during the spring semester. Our objective is to provide this initiative to NC State students who are graduating in December.

NC State CARES

A program within the Department of Prevention Services, NC State CARES, is a student support program dedicated to student well-being and success.

CARES provides a simple way for anyone (families, friends, faculty, staff and students themselves) to share concerns about a student who may be facing challenges to their personal or academic success. The CARES team reviews each referral and reaches out to offer support, connecting students with campus resources and guidance to help them thrive both on and off campus. Click here to learn more!

NC State Dining

As the academic year comes to an end, we encourage you to remind your student(s) to review their dining dollar balance and make a plan to use any remaining funds before the semester ends. Unused dining dollars expire May 8, 2026. Students can monitor their balance and dining activity through the Wolfpack One Card Portal, a convenient tool for tracking dining dollars, viewing meal swipes and staying on top of their dining usage.
