Student Health Services

NC State Student Health Services (SHS) is conveniently located on Central Campus and serves as the primary medical provider for enrolled students and is accredited by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). SHS is committed to providing affordable, accessible, high-quality primary medical services and works to provide every student with prompt, individualized medical care no matter what health insurance they carry. In-house services, such as laboratory and x-ray, travel clinic, physical therapy, women’s health, nutrition counseling and allergy shots are available.

Specialty services are provided by outside partners and include dermatology, orthopedics and gastroenterology. In addition, we have a network of community medical professionals should a student need care outside of our scope. Our on-site pharmacy will transfer existing prescriptions, fill prescriptions from both in-house and outside providers and sell over-the-counter medications to help keep students well.

Student Health Services Centennial location provides Primary Care, Physical Therapy, Nutrition Counseling and Campus Smiles. These services are available in Plaza Hall on Centennial Campus.

Dental Services

Campus Smiles has two locations, Centennial Campus in Plaza Hall and Main Campus in the Student Health Center. Both locations provide all preventative dentistry services along with general restorative and other major dental procedures including Invisalign®. Most major dental insurance plans are accepted.
