Be Prepared to Help: Free Suicide Prevention Training at Parents and Families Weekend

Hi Wolfpack Families!

Parents and Families Weekend, a full weekend of family-friendly activities, is just around the corner. Among the activities planned for that weekend is free QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) gatekeeper training for suicide prevention. This invaluable training is open to anyone 18 years and older, including parents, families, and students, and is scheduled for Friday, October 3, at 4:00 p.m.

Similar to the airplane oxygen mask, the tools and information acquired as a QPR Gatekeeper are something no one wants to have to use, but we should all be prepared for. QPR empowers participants to recognize the warning signs of someone who is suicidal. By attending this training, you will learn how to ask questions, including practical and proven tools and resources availble for professional help.
Training materials will be provided, and a certificate will be awarded to every participant upon completion of the 2-hour course.

While registration is limited, there are still spots available. Click here to sign up for this free and invaluable training before registration closes on Sunday, September 21.

We hope to see you there.

GO PACK!
