House Divided In Service Together

NC State’s Parents and Families Services and East Carolina University’s Office of Parent and Family Programs are excited to launch their joint initiative, A House Divided in Service Together, a fundraiser to support hurricane relief efforts for the needs of two sister institutions in Western North Carolina.

2025 House Divided T-Shirt

With the NC State vs. ECU hallmark game on the horizon, this year hosted at Carter-Finley, we have teamed up for a single design t-shirt. The net proceeds from both ECU and NC State t-shirt sales will be combined and divided equally between the two institutions. This collaborative effort is one we are immensely proud of, and we hope our parents and families will be, too. Our 2025 effort will extend west to support our UNC system sister institutions, UNC Asheville and Appalachian State University, both of which were impacted by Hurricane Helene in 2024 and are still recovering.

Pre-order sales are now open until July 31. All t-shirts will arrive in time for the big game on August 28, and we look forward to seeing thousands of spirited fans united in Raleigh. Order your t-shirt today!

How It Began
Launched in 2022, A House Divided in Service Together showcased the spirited in-state rivalry and partnership between NC State’s Office of Parents and Families Services and East Carolina’s Parent & Family Programs. Together, they teamed up for a fundraiser to support students at both schools, creating a unified t-shirt design, trademarked and printed from a single source. The shirts were sold online, with all net proceeds going to each institution’s Student Emergency Fund. By leaning into our friendly rivalry, we raised over $3,000 for Pack and Pirate students.

With only 83 miles between NC State and East Carolina, these two state institutions are similar in size and heart. Every year, hundreds of parents and families are pulled between family weekends, color wars, special events, big games, and more. The House Divided initiative was born from this camaraderie, because it’s about more than just football – it’s about embracing the true spirit of school pride and coming together for a shared cause.
