Exploring Life Outside of Academics

We are halfway through the semester and many students are studying for midterms and preparing for their final exams. This is an overwhelming time, as students have a lot on their plate, especially if they are still adjusting to the college environment. Fortunately, there are many events and activities on campus designed for students to destress and take some time away from their schoolwork.

It’s important your student understands the balance between their schoolwork and social life. There are events always happening around the main campus such as at the Wolf Plaza or  Wellness and Recreation Center students to participate in that focus on supporting wellness in the community. Many events are free and can be found on the Wolfpack Wellness Events and Community Calendar

Sometimes students might need more help from others when it comes to mental health, especially when it comes to struggling with academic challenges, such as feeling lost in their classes or feeling down about their progress report. Your student can schedule an appointment with a counselor in person or virtually. Encourage your student to take breaks and have fun!

GO PACK!
