Hello, parents and families of incoming NC State students! Welcome to the Wolfpack community! Your student is about to embark on an exciting journey at NC State, where they will have plenty of opportunities to “think and do” amazing things. Before you let them go off on move-in day, encourage them to explore everything NC State has to offer.

Encourage them to speak with faculty, find study areas in the library, and interact with students from various countries. There are many extracurricular activities available, including the performing arts, sports, and community service. They can also join student groups to share their opinions. Explore the campus and the city of Raleigh, visit the Court of Carolina, and tour the Bell Tower. No trip to campus is complete without sampling some Howling Cow ice cream. 

While your student grows and learns, you can stay engaged too! Check out the Parents and Family Services website, connect with families through Pack Family Regions, and learn about savings through the Very Important Parent ( VIP) program.  

We wish you and your family the best during this fall transition. Your student is joining a community that supports, encourages, and challenges them to achieve great things. At NC State, exploration will open minds and hearts.
