Greetings! My name is Thomas Radford. I am a senior at NC State University and a Parent Ally with the Office of Parents and Families Services, where I work to support parents and families of our students. I transferred to State in my sophomore year from a smaller university, and it has been the best decision of my life. From the beginning, I felt the strong sense of community that makes NC State so special.

No matter your student’s year, getting involved is one of the best ways to feel at home. NC State offers endless opportunities through clubs, organizations, and traditions that connect students to their campus. As a transfer student, I found events designed for new students especially helpful—they allowed me to meet others, learn more about the university, and quickly build friendships. Whether your student is just starting their college journey or joining the Pack later, your encouragement plays a big role in helping them take those first steps.

Being a part of NC State is about more than academics—it’s about pride, tradition, and community. Your family is now part of that journey too, and your support will mean the world to your student. Welcome to the Wolfpack—we’re so glad you’re here!
